With a consultation. It's a relaxed, unhurried conversation. I'll assess your face, listen to your goals, explain your options, and answer every question you have. There's never any obligation to proceed on the day.
-
Anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers involve prescription medicines, which require an individual medical assessment before treatment. Just as importantly, a proper consultation is how I design a treatment plan that truly suits you.
-
Yes. At CO Aesthetics, treatments are designed to soften and refresh, never to change who you are. My goal is for you to look like yourself. Refreshed, balanced and confident. Never overdone.
-
Often, yes. If treatment is clinically appropriate and you've had the opportunity to ask questions and provide informed consent, treatment can be performed during the same appointment. There's no pressure to proceed on the day if you'd rather take time to decide.
-
Pricing depends on your individual treatment plan. I confirm a clear quote at your consultation before any treatment begins. You'll never be surprised by a cost.
-
No. Injectable treatments aren't recommended during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. I'm very happy to talk skincare in the meantime, and to see you when the time is right.
Frequently Asked Questions
Anti-Wrinkle Injections
-
Anti-wrinkle injections use a purified prescription medicine called botulinum toxin type A. In aesthetic medicine, it is used to temporarily reduce the activity of selected facial muscles responsible for expression lines.
-
Botulinum toxin temporarily reduces communication between nerves and selected facial muscles. As muscle activity decreases, the skin is able to relax, helping soften the appearance of expression lines such as frown lines, forehead lines and crow's feet.
-
Most clients describe treatment as a series of small pinches that are very well tolerated. The procedure is quick, and any discomfort is usually minimal.
-
Downtime is generally minimal. You may notice mild redness, swelling or small bumps immediately after treatment, which usually settle within a few hours. Bruising is possible, although not everyone experiences it. Most people return to their normal daily activities straight away.
-
Results typically last around 3 to 4 months, although this varies between individuals. Factors such as muscle strength, metabolism and previous treatments can all influence how long results last.
-
You may begin to notice changes within a few days, with full results usually developing over 10 to 14 days.
-
Before your appointment, avoid alcohol and strenuous exercise for 24 hours where possible, and let me know if you're feeling unwell or have any changes to your medical history.
After treatment, you'll receive personalised aftercare instructions. This generally includes avoiding rubbing the treated area, remaining upright for several hours, and avoiding strenuous exercise and excessive heat until the following day.
Skin Rejuvenation
-
Skin boosters are hyaluronic-acid-based injectable treatments designed to hydrate and improve the quality of the skin from within, rather than changing facial shape or volume.
-
Skin treatments work cumulatively. A course of treatments usually delivers the best results, followed by ongoing maintenance. I'll recommend a personalised plan at your skin consultation.
-
Downtime varies by treatment and skin type. Some redness or mild sensitivity is common in the first 24 to 48 hours. You'll receive full aftercare guidance following your appointment.
